Robinson, Reed will go early

It should come as no surprise to Alabama fans when high praise is handed out for A'Shawn Robinson and Jarran Reed, the two defensive linemen that created havoc all year in the SEC. It's hard to top what those two did for Alabama's defense in 2015.

In the preparation for the upcoming NFL Draft, the pair continue to receive the highest of comparisons and compliments.

"I love them. They’re both in my top five," NFL Network analyst Mike Mayock said during Alabama's Pro Day on Wednesday. "It’s the best interior (defensive) line class I’ve ever seen, and both of those kids are going to play early and often and play for 10 years."

Perhaps that's what stands out so much about Mayock's comments, the fact that this draft class is so deep along the defensive line and that still Robinson and Reed stand out. Both players are projected to go in the first round.

"They just have to keep doing what they do," Mayock said. "That’s kind of the credo around here at Alabama. It’s a process. You take it one day at a time, and that’s what they’re doing.

"They keep checking boxes. Reed goes to the Senior Bowl and every day, every snap he plays his tail off. You don’t really have to worry about the ups and downs of guys that come out of this process of Nick Saban."
